Your Wedding Photos ~ Using Hashtags

With the exponential increase in the use of social media sites, you never know where that perfect photo will come from. Of course you will have the perfect photographer – you did your research, looked at a million portfolios, maybe even got a free engagement session to try them out – and they will get you some amazing shots. But you can also never underestimate the things your guests see that your photographer might miss – Grandma taking shots with your little brother, an impromptu arm wrestling match at table 9, a butterfly landing on a centrepiece at sunset – you just never know!

These moments were sometimes captured with the help of disposable cameras left at each table (do they even make those anymore?). But nowadays pretty much everyone has a digital camera, or even more likely, a Smartphone, that they use to capture such unforgettable spontaneous moments. And faster than you can blink – these pictures are up on the web through one social media site or another. This is where you 21st century couples can do one small thing to ensure you find all these photographic treasures – create a hashtag for your wedding.

I first saw this idea browsing on Pinterest and thought ‘Now THIS is something every couple should do’
